About Me

I live in Hertfordshire and have two wonderful, grown-up daughters. I’ve just become a Nana to a beautiful baby granddaughter, Millie.

Writing has always been a part of my life. I’ve constantly ‘scribbled’ down my thoughts and feelings on bits of paper here and there. It’s just my outlet.

I wrote my first book on the subject of Postnatal Depression, which was published in 2000. This followed my own experience of this awful hidden illness. My ‘scribbles’ inspired me to reach out to other women who were struggling during the early months of motherhood. Computers were only just evolving at this time.

Loved this book, it really helped me to know that other women have felt unable to cope and not felt the "sudden rush of love" we are all expected to have when we hold our baby for the first time. Would recommend to all new mothers finding it hard.
